The Houston Texans and team president Mike Tomon unveiled the brand-new video and sound board at NRG Stadium today, giving fans a glimpse at what’s being called a major upgrade to the game day experience.
Reporters in attendance noted that the sound inside the stadium is noticeably louder. Tomon highlighted several improvements, including the board’s larger size, which will allow for more content to be displayed, as well as sharper, more vibrant visuals.
“This production was built from the ground up,” Tomon said. “It’s state of the art, and it will create a more engaging environment for the fans. The county did a great job of stepping up and investing in that side.”
According to Tomon, the board’s definition is “almost quadruple what it was,” offering an unmatched viewing experience for fans in attendance.
The new board will make its full-season debut when the Texans return to NRG Stadium this fall.
