Texans Sign Jaden Crumedy, Daniel Sobkowicz to Practice Squad in Four Moves

The Texans signed defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy and wide receiver Daniel Sobkowicz to the practice squad Wednesday, November 4, the team announced. Houston also released defensive tackle Kyonte Hamilton and tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden.
The four moves adjust Houston’s depth as the team prepares to return from its bye against the Chargers. Both additions are practice-squad signings; neither is an announcement of a promotion to the active roster.
Crumedy returns after Monday’s waiver move
Crumedy’s signing brings him back into the organization two days after Houston waived him as part of the November 2 transactions that included adding Naquan Jones. The Texans list Crumedy at 6-foot-4 and 301 pounds, with three years of experience out of Mississippi State. He now provides another interior defensive-line option on the practice squad.
Sobkowicz joins the practice squad as a rookie receiver from Illinois State. Houston lists him at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds. The signing gives the Texans another receiver to develop and work with during the practice week.
Hamilton and Mitchell-Paden released
Hamilton and Mitchell-Paden are the two departures in Wednesday’s announcement. The release did not provide a reason for either move or announce corresponding game-day roles for the incoming players.
For now, the confirmed change is to Houston’s personnel depth: Crumedy and Sobkowicz are in, while Hamilton and Mitchell-Paden are out.
